Starting in Jan 2019 I will be at the Econ Department at Northwestern University as a Visiting Post-Doctoral Researcher.
I am a Senior Research Economist in Monetary Analysis at the Bank of England.
Prior to that, I was principal economist and model developer at Now-Casting.com and a post doctoral researcher at London Business School. I have taught at the University of Bristol and hold a Ph.D. in Economics from Bocconi University.
My research interests are Monetary Economics, Macro-Finance, Empirical Macroeconomics and Applied Time-Series Econometrics.
Some of the questions that I am working on at the moment include the workings and drivers of the global financial cycle, the transmission of monetary shocks in a world with imperfect and asymmetric information, and the role of monetary policy in shaping agents' expectations and their attitude towards risk.
P.S. Miranda is a surname!
